What it is

Syabu-Yo, operated by Skylark Restaurants Co., Ltd. (part of Skylark Holdings Co., Ltd.), is Japan's largest and most celebrated all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu hot pot chain with over 280 locations nationwide. Revolutionizing casual Japanese dining with unbeatable value, Syabu-Yo serves thinly sliced pork, beef, chicken, and wagyu cooked tableside in simmering dual-chamber broth pots. While cat-eared BellaBot robots deliver towers of freshly sliced meats to your table, diners browse vibrant self-service buffet stations featuring more than 20 varieties of crisp market vegetables, noodles, and an iconic *Dipping Sauce & Condiment Bar (Tare Bar)*. With a fun DIY dessert station featuring Belgian waffle irons, soft-serve ice cream, and shaved ice, it is an essential dining highlight for hungry travelers.

How to order

Dining at Syabu-Yo is an engaging, delicious feast:

  1. Be seated and pick your course on the tablet: Switch the tabletop touchscreen tablet to English. CRITICAL RULE: All diners at the table must order the exact same meat tier (e.g., Pork Only, Beef & Pork, or Japanese Black Wagyu).
  2. Choose your simmering broths: Your pot has two chambers. One side is filled with classic golden kelp broth (Shiro Dashi), while you choose your second broth on the screen (such as spicy Korean kimchi, savory chicken paitan, or sukiyaki broth with raw eggs).
  3. Order sliced meats on the tablet: Submit orders for pork loin, pork belly, beef, and chicken. Automated cat-faced runner robots will deliver stacks of meat trays straight to your table!
  4. Visit the Fresh Vegetable Bar: Take a large wooden bowl and gather fresh greens from the chilled buffet: Napa cabbage, bean sprouts, enoki mushrooms, wood-ear mushrooms, leeks, and ramen or udon noodles.
  5. Craft your dipping sauce at the "Tare Bar": Visit the sauce station and create your custom dips. Mix base sauces (tangy Ponzu, rich Sesame Goma, onion tare, or spicy chili) with aromatic condiments (grated daikon radish Momiji Oroshi, garlic, scallions, yuzu kosho, and sesame seeds).
  6. Swish and dine: Swish thin meat slices back and forth in the boiling broth for 10 to 15 seconds until cooked ("shabu-shabu"), dip into your custom sauce, and wrap around tender cooked vegetables!
  7. Make DIY Waffles & Soft-Serve: When ready for dessert, visit the dessert station. Pour waffle batter into the cast-iron waffle irons, flip the timer for 2 minutes, and crown your warm waffle with vanilla soft-serve ice cream and chocolate sauce!
  8. Pay at the automated self-checkout: When your time expires, take your table check folder to the self-checkout register near the entrance to pay.
